About 15 passengers feared dead in an accident on Takoradi-Cape Coast highway.

At least 15 people died in a collision on the Takoradi-Cape Coast route.

According to accounts, the event occurred on Tuesday about 2:00pm in Asemasa Number 1 in the Western Region.

A tipper truck collided with a Ford bus with the registration number GW 5628-21, which was carrying Ghanaians and Chinese nationals traveling from Tarkwa.

According to eyewitnesses, the tipper truck made an illegal overtake. When the Ford driver noticed his counterpart’s irresponsible driving, he came to a complete stop to let the truck to pass.

However, a tyre rupture during the procedure caused the truck’s driver to lose control of his vehicle.

The tipper truck then collided with the Ford, causing it to catch fire.
