Ghana Premier League top scorers David Abagna of RTU and Maxwell Abbey Quaye of Great Olympics are among the 30-man provisional squad.
In addition to the two top scorers of the GPL, Fatawu Issahaku, Philemon Baffour, both from Dreams FC, and Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah made it to the provisional squad.
Despite turning down his first call up, AS Roma sensational youngster Felix Afena-Gyan has been given another opportunity to play for the Black Stars in the AFCON.
All the usual suspects are all included in the provisional Black Stars squad. It must be noted that, the technical team are confident injured Mohammed Kudus will recover in time for the tournament.

The Black Stars will camp in Doha, Qatar to prepare for the competition. During the preparations at Doha, the team are expected to play three friendly matches.
The Black Stars will meet Morocco for their opening match, and later play against Gabon. To end the group stage round of matches, the Black Stars will play against Comoros.
The Black Stars have been tasked to win the trophy to end the country’s trophy drought.
