Letitia Wright who played the role of Shuri has finally returned to the filming of Black Panther 2 months after being injured while on set.
Initially Letitia was said to have suffered minor injuries at the time of the accident in August. Later, Marvel’s Bosses mentioned that the British star did sustain more serious injuries than initially stated.
Since the passing of the late Black Panther lead character, played by Chadwick Boseman, re-casting of his role has not been done. Letitia who appeared in Avengers Infinity War and Endgame is expected to play a bigger part in Black Panther 2.

This is what Marvel Bosses said about Letitia’s accident in November: “What we had initially thought were minor injuries turned out to be much more serious with Letitia suffering a critical shoulder fracture, and a concussion with severe side effects.
“It has been a painful process and Letitia has been home recovering with her doctors and the support of family.”
“We’ve adjusted our production schedule so she has the time she needs to heal, but there’s only so much we can do without Shuri!”
“We also want to thank Letitia for everything she’s doing to get back to the set – we know how much she loves this role, how tough it’s been for her to be away, and how hard she’s working to recover as quickly as she safely can.”
Letitia has fully recovered and has returned to set, her spokesperson said. “Filming resumed this month as planned and we’re on schedule” her spokesperson told BBC News.
Black Panther 2 is due to be released in November.
