Renowned actress Yvonne Nelson has slammed President Akufo-Addo’s government for making policies that benefit politicians rather than the country’s entire population.
Her comment is coming at a time where a widely opposed E-Levy tax has been implemented.
The actress resorted to Twitter to express her dissatisfaction with the fact that the majority of Ghanaians continue to suffer at the cost of others.
She wrote; “You lured Ghanaians with your big, big English Nana Akufo-Addo.”
You lured Ghanaians with your BIG BIG english @NAkufoAddo

In a follow up tweet, Yvonne Nelson added; “More money for the politicians (and their families and side pieces) small money for the people (Ghanaians who stay in long queues/scorching sun to vote). Same ol’ (old) story.”

The award winning actress is among many Ghanaians who have voiced out their dissatisfaction with the implementation of the E-Levy.
The E-Levy took effect from May 1, 2022, despite a wide opposition from Ghanaians.
