The Ghana Police Service has announced that some main highways in Accra will be temporarily closed ahead of the Extraordinary Summit of ECOWAS Heads of State, which will take place today, February 3, 2022.
The affected roads, according to a statement signed by DSP Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs Unit, Greater Accra Region Police Command, will be the Jubilee Lounge (KIA) to Liberation Road at Opeibea and Liberation Road from the Airport traffic light through the Independence Avenue at National Theatre traffic light.
The roads will be reopened as soon as the event is over, according to the police.
Motorists were also encouraged to pay attention to the traffic arrangements and follow them.
