The Ghana Black Stars are set to return home after a disappointing performance at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. The Black Stars were kicked out of the competition in the group stages after a 3-2 defeat to Comoros.
The Black Stars went into the competition with high hopes, but their performance on the field of play is nothing to write home about. In the group stage games, they lost to Morocco, drew with Gabon and lost to Comoros.
Well meaning Ghanaians have poured their hearts out on the performances of the Black Stars at the Africa Cup of Nations. Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a former president of the Ghana Football Association, wants to see the team dissolved completely.
Ghanaian Dancehall artist Stonebwoy nostalgically commented on the performance of the Black Stars.
The Bhim Nation President wrote on his twitter handle; “How I miss those days when a #blackstars Win will make the country jubilate all night. People will release things falaaa! Town Sweet,Cars Toothing horns, flags flying high etc. Well done players, Im sure the football POLITICS is what has broken the team down to this level.”

The multiple award-winning artist also commented on the red card incident and the performance of the players.
“Asides the unfortunate Red Card. The midfielders have done very well.. the back defence nu hmm! And Jordans striking spirit was low.. Ah my #blackstars o.. anyway let’s prepare for world Cup” he said.
Stonebwoy has encouraged the Black Stars to prepare for the world cup. The Black Stars will be playing their last world cup qualifying match in 2022.
