Mbappe and Messi to the party as PSG scores Club Brugge 4-1

PSG who are second place behind Manchester City produced a brilliant performance to win against Club Brugge. Mbappe and Messi both scored twice to see PSG beat Club Brugge 4-1 at Parc des Princes.

In less than two minutes, World Cup winner Mbappe netted the first goal, and added a second one after another five minutes.

Mbappe added an assist later in the first half, nutmegging his marker on the left flank before switching the play to Messi in the center. The 7 time Ballon d’Or winner scored from the edge of the box.

The visitors scored a consolation through Mats Rits in the 68th minute, but PSG regained their three-goal advantage just eight minutes after conceding.

Mbappe’s second goal marks his 31st in the Champions League. At 22 years and 352 days old, the Frenchman is the youngest player to reach this milestone in the competition’s history.

PSG’s next task is to host Monaco in Ligue 1 on Sunday, while Club Brugge host Zulte Waregem on the same day in the Belgian Pro League.
