A lot of African youths have to demand for the right things to be done by their leaders through demonstrations and protests. This is as a result of leaders failing in delivering on their promises as well as their offices serving as breeding grounds for corruption.
Despite the abundant natural resources, Africa seem to be lacking behind other continents when it comes to developments.
Ghanaian reggae dance-hall artist Stonebwoy, has called for African leaders to be sworn into office using African Deities. He believes this will make the leaders deliver on their promises.
His comment is coming at a time where the youth of Nigeria are protesting against some decisions by their leaders.
“It Got me thinking That come this Elections our leaders And all who will assume public and civil offices may have to swear by our African Deities too. These promises Must be Fulfilled …”. He said in a twitter post.
Stonebwoy has joined other prominent people in condemning matters of police brutality in Nigeria.
A video of people chanting the lyrics of his song ‘Run Go‘ triggered his call for African deities to be used in swearing in African leaders to office. He also made reference to the coming Ghana elections which has been characterized with a lot of tensions.
