The CEO of the then gold dealership firm Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah is not happy about how politicians keep bringing his name into their campaign talks. NAM 1 as he is popularly called, has been quiet for sometime now, probably trying to figure out how to make his customers happy by paying them back their monies.
It is that time of the season again, where politicians will use every opportunity at their disposal to score political points. The case of Menzgold has not been spared in their campaign rallies. A well noted case is the comment passed by his excellency Bawumia, the vice president of Ghana calling Menzgold a 419 business.
After the vice president made this comment about Menzgold, A radio presenter by name Blakk Rasta on his taxi driver show, asked the leaders a question “where is the money Menzgold won in Dubai?”. Blakk Rasta asked the leaders to help retrieve the money to pay off the customers rather than attacking the business as well as the owner.
Also, NAM1 who is the CEO of Menzgold has taken to his twitter handle to comment about the Issue. He said, “Regardless of the court proceedings, frozen accounts & assets, we’ve made significant payments & continue to do so. Yet due to politics, u’re inciting & inviting clients under the guise of they getting paid, when your real intention is to get them organized together with hired”.
He followed up with another comment saying, they will defend themselves fully should hoodlums invade their home and offices.
