A middle-aged guy was detained by Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) soldiers at the Base Ammunition Depot in Michel Camp as he attempted to scale the outer fence and enter the Ammunition Depot.
Yaw Boateng, the suspect, claimed to be from Ashaiman Tulaku and was seeking to enter the ammunition depot in search of goods with aluminum plating for sale. 18 aluminum plates, iron pickets, and a broken street light lamp holder were discovered in his possession after his arrest. He has been given to the Police CID so they can take further action.
The GAF cautioned that: “…the Base Ammunition Depot is a highly sensitive and restricted security zone which is out of bounds to the general public,”
“GAF therefore kindly requests the cooperation and support of all stakeholders and the general public in ensuring security and safety of all,”
