“Ghana is the gateway to Africa” is a popular saying that has been used by many prominent personalities around the world. It appears this saying will only continue to linger in our minds as recent development has caused people to have a second look at the statement.
A Nigerian comedian known as Pararan has tagged Ghana as a country that has peace but lacks love. Pararan made this pronouncement on his popular comedy news show “Pararan Mock News”. The comedian also accused the Ghanaian media of paying attention to issues he describes as stupid.
Pararan also added that, Ghanaian artists are trailing to their Nigerian brothers because attention is given to quarrels and gossip. He recounted the current celebrity clash between Mzbel and Tracey that has led to the popular phrase “Papa no” in Ghana.
The comedian said “…ona get peace but ona no get love… the time wey ona go take promote ona artiste, ona go dey use dey do Papa no, MzBel and one person, if it’s Samini and Stonebwoy then it is Stonebwoy and Angel Gabriel or Angel Gabriel and …”
Pararan has called on the media and entertainment pundits to pay attention to promoting artists instead of focusing on quarrels, gossip and stupid things.
